Privacy

You do not need an account to use the athlete app. Your personal workout programs, favourites, challenge progress, weight and body measurements, reminders and app settings are stored on your own phone and are not sent to the server, except where you share information to use the coach features.

When you connect to a coach, your account is created on the server. It holds:

• your first name and, if you wish, your last name
• a profile picture, if you choose one
• a 12-character recovery code
• the device name and the app version

The athlete app does not need your phone number or email address to create an account.

A coach can start without entering a phone number. In that case, a name and a recovery code are recorded for the account.

To have more than 2 athletes, a coach must verify their mobile number with a text-message code.

Workout programs, diet plans, invite codes, each athlete's term and the coach's private notes about their athletes are stored on the server. Private notes are visible only to the coach.

What a coach enters for their public page may be visible to every user of the athlete app, even without an account. This includes:

• the coach's picture and introduction
• gym name and city
• specialties and achievements
• contact details and gallery pictures
• number of athletes and average rating

A coach can turn off being shown in the list of coaches. Their page can then only be found with the coach code.

A coach's mobile number is not shown on the public page; however, people who have the full number can use it to find the coach.

A coach can access a connected athlete's information only within the related features and permissions:

• Name and profile picture: to identify the connected athlete.
• Body measurements: with the “Body measurements” option on, readings are sent to the server and the coach can see them. Changing or deleting them in the app also changes the copy stored on the server.
• Workout log: when you mark a session from your coach's program as “Done”, its record is sent to the server. Whether the coach sees it depends on the “Workout log” option being on.
• Progress photos: only photos you choose and send yourself reach the server. The coach can see them only while the “Progress photos” option is on. This option is off by default.
• Evening activity summary: every evening the coach is sent a summary of their athletes' activity, such as training done, new measurements, or several days without training. It is made from the information available to the app under your settings.

You can change your sharing settings, or end your connection with the coach, at any time.

Workout programs and diet plans your coach sends you are shown in the athlete app. The last 20 programs from each coach, for up to 3 coaches, are kept.

These programs stay in the app even after the connection with the coach ends, and you can delete them.

A coach and an athlete who are connected can chat with each other in the apps.

Messages are stored on the server and, in the apps, are visible only to that coach and athlete. If the sender deletes a message with the “Delete for both” option, it is removed from both sides' apps.

When the connection ends, or either side deletes their account, the conversation is removed from the apps.

An athlete who has trained with a coach for at least a week can rate them from zero to 5 stars and leave a short comment of up to 200 characters.

Ratings are shown as an average, and only once at least 3 ratings have been given. The coach cannot tell who gave which rating.

Comments appear on the coach's public page after the coach approves them, showing the athlete's first name and the initial of their last name, for example “Ali R.”.

The camera is used to scan a coach's QR code or to take a profile picture and progress photos. You can also pick pictures from your gallery.

Only a picture you choose and confirm yourself is sent. The QR scan image is not saved or sent.

Workout reminders are set on your phone.

To receive notifications such as a request to connect, a new program or diet plan, a new message or the end of a term, the apps check the server periodically; they do not use a push notification service.

The text of chat messages is not shown on the phone's lock screen.

In the GB GAME news channel only the number of views of each post is recorded; who viewed it is not.

• Account information and the data behind the online features are kept on our servers in Iran.
• The apps talk to the server over HTTPS, and recovery codes are stored encrypted.
• The database is backed up every night and backups are kept for 30 days.
• Text-message verification codes are deleted after one day.
• The sign-in of a phone that has not used the account for a year is cancelled. Your account remains, and you can sign in again with your recovery code.
• IP addresses and request times may be kept in the server logs for a while, to keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

The recovery code is used to get back into your account. Anyone who has the code may be able to sign in to your account, so keep it somewhere safe and do not share it.

The Bodybuilder and Bodybuilder Coach apps show no ads and use no user-behaviour analytics or advertising tracking.

Your information is not sold and is not given to others for advertising.

Both apps let you delete your account. Deleting it ends your connections and deactivates the account. Information stored locally on your phone is not necessarily removed when you delete the account.

To ask for all your records to be removed from the server, get in touch through the “Contact” page.

If the way the apps work or the way information is used changes, this page is updated and the date of the last update appears at the top.
